About the Artist

Isaac Campbell (M.A., University of Northern Iowa) is an artist and communications scholar originally from Ottumwa, Iowa. His written and creative work focuses on public art, social justice, digital photo archiving, and vernacular photography. In 2018, he was a Fulbright student research recipient working in Budapest, Hungary where he began experimenting with the method of wheat pasting. Since then, Isaac has collaborated with hundreds of volunteers and garnered international media coverage from esteemed outlets such as NPR, CNN, The New York Times, Reuters, and the Washington Post. This recognition has humbly contributed to raising awareness, inspiring action, and making a meaningful impact on global causes. Through his work, Isaac strives to build communal understanding, spark joy and curiosity, and inspire lasting connections by bringing people together to create art in their communities.
